Introduction & Core Values

The mission of ChristTube is to provide a global, video-first ecosystem where individuals, ministries, and families can share the Gospel, build community, and express their faith safely. To balance the value of free expression with the spiritual and physical well-being of our community, our content moderation is guided by four foundational principles:

• Safety: We remove content that threatens the physical or emotional security of individuals, recognizing that intimidation and abuse silence meaningful fellowship.
• Dignity: We believe all people are created equal in dignity and rights. We expect our users to respect others and refrain from behavior that degrades or demeans.
• Authenticity: We want ChristTube to be a place of genuine connection. We prohibit deception, misrepresentation, and fraud.
• Privacy: We protect personal data and privacy so that users feel secure expressing themselves and sharing their lives.

Pillar 1: Violence and Criminal Behavior

1.1 Violence and Incitement

We aim to prevent real-world harm, offline violence, and illegal acts. We remove content that incites violence or contains credible threats to physical safety.

• Statements of Intent: Statements of intent, calls to action, or conditional statements advocating for violence against individuals or groups are strictly prohibited.
• Aiding Violence: You may not post instructions on how to manufacture weapons, execute attacks, or coordinate physical harm.
• Voter/Civic Disruption: We prohibit threats designed to intimidate or prevent people from participating in civic processes or voting.

1.2 Dangerous Organizations and Individuals

To prevent and mitigate real-world harm, we do not allow organizations or individuals that proclaim or engage in violent, hateful, or criminal missions to have a presence on ChristTube.

• Banned Entities: This includes terrorist organizations, hate groups, organized criminal networks, mass murderers, and human trafficking rings.
• Praise and Support: We remove video content, audio, or text that praises, supports, glorifies, or represents these dangerous entities or their leaders.

1.3 Coordinating Harm and Promoting Crime

We prohibit users from using ChristTube to facilitate, organize, or promote criminal activities that result in physical, financial, or property damage.

• Criminal Schemes: Facilitating cyberattacks, property damage, theft, or physical assault is banned.
• Exposing Sensitive Information: We remove content that "outs" or exposes the identities of undercover law enforcement, military personnel, hidden activists, or witnesses at risk.

1.4 Restricted Goods and Services

To protect our users from legal risk and physical harm, ChristTube prohibits the use of its platform to buy, sell, trade, or facilitate the exchange of regulated items.

• Firearms & Weapons: You may not host videos intended to sell or trade firearms, ammunition, explosives, or 3D-printing files for weapons.
• High-Risk Drugs: Content offering, trading, or promoting the use of high-risk illicit drugs (such as cocaine, fentanyl, or heroin) is strictly prohibited.
• Endangered Wildlife: The commercial sale or trade of endangered species or their parts is not allowed.

1.5 Fraud and Deception

We want to preserve financial security and trust within our faith community.

• Scams: We remove content intended to trick people out of money or property through phishing, multi-level marketing schemes, fake investment clubs, or fraudulent ministry donation requests.
• Impersonation: You may not create channels pretending to be an official church leader, ministry, celebrity, or public figure with the intent to deceive.

Pillar 2: Safety

2.1 Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Nudity

ChristTube has a strict zero-tolerance policy for any form of child exploitation or abuse.

• Immediate Removal: Any video, image, or text depicting, promoting, or normalizing the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors (under 18) will be instantly deleted.
• Legal Action: We preserve data and report these instances to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and appropriate global law enforcement agencies.

2.2 Suicide, Self-Injury, and Eating Disorders

We care about the mental health and well-being of our community. We remove content that encourages, glorifies, or provides instructions for self-harm.

• Suicide & Self-Harm Promotion: Videos or comments depicting suicide attempts, cutting, or giving instructions on how to self-harm are prohibited.
• Eating Disorders: We restrict content that encourages or provides instruction for extreme fasting, purging, or severe eating disorders.
• Support Interventions: When users search for keywords related to self-harm, we actively redirect them to free, confidential crisis hotlines and spiritual support resources.

2.3 Adult Sexual Exploitation

We prohibit content that exploits, coerces, or non-consensually commercializes adult sexual acts.

• Non-Consensual Imagery: Sharing intimate videos or images of someone without their explicit consent (revenge pornography) is banned.
• Sexual Coercion & Extortion: Attempts to blackmail individuals using real or fabricated intimate content (sextortion) will result in immediate termination.
• Commercial Exploitation: We do not allow content that promotes, sells, or solicits prostitution or commercial escort services.

2.4 Bullying and Harassment

To ensure our community remains a respectful environment, we restrict content that targets individuals with malicious intent to intimidate, humiliate, or isolate them.

• Private Individuals: We remove claims, altered images, or targeted videos intended to mock, harass, or insult private individuals.
• Public Figures & Ministry Leaders: While we permit healthy theological debate, constructive criticism, and scrutiny of public figures or ministry leaders, we do not allow severe attacks, threats of violence, or non-consensual sexualization directed at them.

2.5 Human Exploitation

We strictly prohibit any content that facilitates or promotes human trafficking, modern-day slavery, or smuggling. This includes videos or messages used to recruit, transport, or harbor individuals against their will for profit or forced labor.

2.6 Privacy Violations

We want to prevent physical or financial harm by protecting personal information.

• Doxing: Do not upload videos or post comments containing private personal data, such as residential addresses, personal phone numbers, social security numbers, medical records, or financial account details.
• Non-Consensual Media: Do not post videos filmed in private spaces without the clear consent of the individuals depicted.

Pillar 3: Objectionable Content

3.1 Hateful Conduct

ChristTube is dedicated to fostering a loving community rooted in Christian principles. We do not tolerate direct attacks on individuals based on protected characteristics.

• Protected Characteristics: These include race, ethnicity, national origin, religious affiliation, disability, serious disease, sex, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
• Prohibited Content: We remove dehumanizing speech, slurs, claims of inherent inferiority, or calls for exclusion or violence targeting these groups.
• Theological Discussion Space: This policy protects people, not abstract ideologies or institutions. Scriptural teachings, theological discourse, and traditional religious debates concerning morality, sin, and doctrine are fully permitted, provided they do not cross the line into inciting violence, promoting hatred, or dehumanizing individuals.

3.2 Violent and Graphic Content

We restrict excessively violent, gory, or shocking content to keep our video feeds safe for general audiences.

• Prohibited Imagery: Videos showing dismemberment, explicit aftermaths of fatal accidents, visible internal organs, or torture are banned.
• Cruelty & Insensitivity: Content that mocks or celebrates the suffering, serious injury, or death of humans or animals is strictly prohibited.
• Contextual Exceptions: Educational, news-related, or historical documentary videos (e.g., historical accounts of Christian martyrdom) that contain intense imagery may be allowed, but will be placed behind a graphic warning screen and restricted to adult audiences.

3.3 Adult Nudity and Sexual Activity

ChristTube maintains a family-friendly, wholesome environment.

• Pornography: Explicit depictions of sexual intercourse, genital nudity, and highly suggestive sexual acts are prohibited.
• Exceptions: We allow exceptions for natural contexts such as videos discussing breastfeeding, health/medical education, or historical artwork.

3.4 Sexual Solicitation and Sexually Explicit Language

To prevent the platform from being used for adult entertainment networking, we do not allow users to solicit or offer sexually explicit content or encounters through video descriptions, live stream chats, or comments.

Pillar 4: Integrity and Authenticity

4.1 Account Integrity and Authentic Identity

We believe that authenticity creates a more accountable community.

• Misrepresentation: Users must not use fake names, misrepresent their age, or create accounts using false identities to evade platform restrictions.
• Account Selling: Buying, selling, or trading ChristTube accounts or channels is entirely prohibited.

4.2 Spam

We do not allow activities designed to artificially inflate engagement, mislead users, or clutter the platform with unwanted material.

• Inauthentic Engagement: You may not use automated bots or coordinated networks to fake video views, likes, shares, or channel subscriptions.
• Repetitive Content: Mass-posting repetitive comments, commercial hyperlinks, or deceptive video thumbnails to funnel traffic off-site is banned.

4.3 Cybersecurity

To maintain platform safety, users are barred from attempting to compromise ChristTube’s infrastructure or user security.

• Malicious Scripts: You may not distribute malware, spyware, links to phishing sites, or scripts designed to hijack accounts or steal personal tokens.
• Scraping: Automated scraping of user profiles or video metadata without express written consent from ChristTube is prohibited.

4.4 Misinformation

We aim to limit the spread of harmful misinformation while respecting open expression. We focus specifically on falsehoods that carry real-world consequences.

• Physical Harm: Misinformation that contributes to an imminent risk of physical violence or medical emergencies.
• Manipulated Media: Videos that have been heavily edited, deceptively spliced, or generated via artificial intelligence (Deepfakes) to mislead viewers about what a person actually said or did. Such media will be labeled or removed if it inflicts severe personal or societal harm.

Pillar 5: Respecting Intellectual Property

5.1 Intellectual Property (Copyright & Trademark)

ChristTube respects the creative rights of content creators, musicians, and artists.

• Ownership: You should only upload videos, audio tracks, or graphics that you created yourself or have received explicit, legal permission to use.
• Infringement: We will remove content upon receiving valid legal takedown notices from intellectual property owners. Repeatedly violating copyright rules will lead to automatic channel termination.

Enforcement, Appeals, and Accountability

Enforcement Mechanisms

We use a blend of user reporting, automated filters, and human review teams to identify and evaluate violations of these standards.

• Flagging Tools: Every video and comment has an accessible "Report" option.
• Proactive Detection: Our automated systems flag high-risk categories like adult nudity, extreme violence, and malware before they reach audiences.

Escalation and Penalties

Consequences for violations depend strictly on the severity and frequency of the offense:

• Content Removal: The specific offending video or comment is permanently taken down.
• Feature Restrictions: Temporary blocks on live streaming, posting comments, or uploading content for a set timeframe (e.g., 24 hours to 30 days).
• Account Termination: Permanent deletion of the user's account and channel for severe violations (such as child exploitation) or chronic repeat offences.

The Right to Appeal

If you believe ChristTube made a mistake in removing your content or locking your channel, you have the right to request an official review. Our team will re-examine the decision against these Community Standards and restore your content if an error occurred.
